JOHN J. MCKETTA JR. MEMORIAL
The namesake of the chemical engineering department at UT Austin, Dr. John J. McKetta Jr. died at the age of 103 on January 15, 2019. Therefore, the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering threw a celebration of life memorial for him on February 9. 2019, inviting all alumni, faculty, and staff to attend.
For this event, I created all aspects for both print and digital from the social media image that announced his passing to the mailed invitation to the program handed out at the event and more. The idea was to utilize one iconic image of Dr. McKetta posing with the Chemical Engineering Encyclopedias that he penned across all marketing for branding recognition for this celebration of life.
